Per consentire uno svolgimento ordinato del racconto del POI, i media vengono attribuiti a Capitoli già predisposti: News, Presentazione, Contesto, Luoghi, Storia, Architettura, Progetti, Eventi, Particolari, Racconti, Materiale aggiunto.
I capitoli hanno un ordine di presentazione predefinito, i media si possono invece ordinare all'interno del capitolo (vedi #Ordina nel Capitolo).
L'inserimento del media nel Capitolo è obbligatorio se si è scelto che il POI sia organizzato per capitoli (vedi Guida alla compilazione del POI: Tipi di visualizzazione).
